In Rememberance of 911, HEB helps the fire departments by bringing food, cooking breakfast and offering to help with the fire department chores.
PEC donates $1000 to North Lake Travis Fire and Rescue from their "Light the Way" Campaign.
The Leander School District sponsors a "Cool Week" each year that allows the students to spend the week participating with an employer or business in a field they would like to pursue after graduation. This year North Lake Travis Fire and Rescue had five future firefighter hopefuls spend the week learning the ins and outs of the fire service: Everything from washing trucks and cleaning bays to search and rescue, agility testing, fire extinguishers and fire streams. Leander's "Cool Week".
